Soulnote Privacy Policy

Soulnote is designed as a private, local note-taking app.

Data We Collect

Soulnote is local-first by default. The app stores saved notes, selected templates, and app preferences locally on your device using Apple system storage. This information is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable BYOK AI polishing.

If you enable BYOK AI polishing, the note text you choose to polish is sent to the third-party AI service you select so that service can generate the polished result. If BYOK is not configured, Soulnote does not send note content off device for AI polishing. User-entered API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are sent only to the selected provider as request authorization. Soulnote does not receive your provider API key.

Local Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, Soulnote uses iOS local notifications to remind you to write a note. Notification scheduling is handled on your device. Soulnote does not collect notification data.

Tracking and Advertising

Soulnote does not track users across apps or websites. Soulnote does not include advertising SDKs.

Analytics

Soulnote currently does not include third-party analytics SDKs.

Data Sharing

Soulnote does not sell or rent user data. If you enable BYOK AI polishing, note text is shared with the third-party AI service you select for the purpose of generating the polished note.

User Control

You can delete saved notes from the app history. Deleting the app from your device also removes its locally stored app data according to iOS behavior.

You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

You can turn off BYOK AI polishing in the app settings. Turning it off stops future AI polishing requests. It does not delete data that may already have been processed by the third-party provider; provider handling depends on that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Children

Soulnote is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

本地通知

如果你开启每日提醒，防水纸条会使用 iOS 本地通知提醒你记录纸条。通知计划由设备本地处理。防水纸条不会收集通知数据。

跟踪与广告

防水纸条不会跨 App 或网站跟踪用户，也不包含广告 SDK。

分析

防水纸条目前不包含第三方分析 SDK。

数据共享

防水纸条不会出售或出租用户数据。如果你开启 BYOK AI 润色，纸条内容会为了生成润色结果而发送给你选择的第三方 AI 服务。

用户控制

你可以在 App 的历史记录中删除保存的纸条。从设备删除 App 也会按 iOS 行为移除其本地存储数据。

你可以随时在 App 或 iOS 设置中关闭通知。

你可以在 App 设置中关闭 BYOK AI 润色。关闭后会停止后续 AI 润色请求，但不会删除第三方服务提供方可能已经处理过的数据；第三方服务的数据处理以其自身条款和隐私政策为准。

儿童

防水纸条并非面向儿童设计，也不会有意收集儿童个人数据。
